Hello everyone, This point has been tickling my mind since I had a long argument over it with my one of the friends. Your comments will be greatly appreciated. 

She was telling me that basically everyone is selfish. Even herself. According to her she was not ready to help the person whom she sees on road dying! She was not doing anything without self-purpose. She further added that it was her until she gave birth to a female child! I am trying to explain that as far as I have understood, everyone, more or less, is selfish. Degree of selfishness can vary but we can not deny its existence! I know you will argue that what about parents and other near ones? 

I am not blaming all the people under the Sun for being selfish. I just want to convey that everyone is doing anything for their own satisfaction. Parents raise children because it gives them heavenly pleasure. We try to save someone because it gives us sense of being responsible citizen! We donate someone to be famous; we appreciate someone to get appreciation! Even we marry someone to have a life-long assistance. Though selfishness is everywhere, some feelings are beyond our comprehension. We sometimes fail to recognize those feelings! We think that ‘ I just wanted to do it, and so I have done it.’(a noble deed), without telling anyone. 

Please tell me if I am wrong anywhere.
