In simple words relationship means a connectedness between people.  Relationship starts from birth. Our first relatives are our parents, who know and understand our feelings, likings and disliking very well since our birth. A human passes from the various relationships like mother-daughter/son, father-son/daughter, boss-employee, husband-wife, teacher-pupil, brother-sister, colleagues, etc We constantly try to understand the world around us by connecting the threads at our hand. Humans are called ’social animals’ and they like to make new relationships. As we grow up we start to understand values of relationship, we learn to respect it.  We learn, what amount of importance should be given to which relationship. There are certain relationship without which life seems to be colorless. Such relationships vary from person to person, for some people it is parents, for some it is spouse or friends or for someone it can be pets. Think of a person who lives alone, like an island, how many difficulties he has to face to live in a society. Aloneness is sometimes called a curse. In certain cultures house without guests is not respectable. While in ancient times people of certain cultures did not have their meals before they feed any guest!  Many books and articles are written on relationships. Books like How to make friends, men are from mars Women are from Venus, I am ok You are ok and many more help to improve relationship or making it more strong. Many social networking site are available to satisfy human need of making friends. In Maslow’s hierarchy of needs in motivation theory, love need comes as third highest after physical and safety needs. True relations give us warmth and true relatives stand by us any given moment. For them distance doesn’t matter, Now-a-days, with the use of latest technologies, our near and dear ones can be reached within a blink of an eye. World is becoming smaller and smaller. Government of different countries also tries to establish good relations with other countries specially those surrounding the boundary as it is very crucial for security of a nation. Unless our neighboring country is peacefull,we can not sleep silently. Good relationship is essential in business also. The business of credit cards and credit sales base entirely on creditworthiness and reputation of a person in market.
It gives a sense of satisfaction when we are surrounded by fulfilling relationships.
