These heart shaped pins are charming and easy for the whole family to make. First you make the following play dough. This dough will last for months in an airtight container. The pin directions follow the dough instructions. Have fun!

For the Valentine Pins:

What you need:

• heart shaped cookie cutters
• play dough
• wax paper
• 1/4 cup flour
• pin backs

What you do:

• Knead dough on waxed paper until about 1/4 inch in thickness.
• Using cookie cutter dipped in flour to prevent sticking, cut out a heart.
• Press pin back into heart while dough is still damp. Allow to dry for a day.
• You can paint or apply clear varnish to your heart after thoroughly dried.
