Education System
The education system in India is good but there is always a scope for improvement. There are schools where the emphasis is not just on written exams and scoring high marks, but they arrange orientation programs which help the students to develop a good personality and also improve their general awareness. In the past few years the number of courses to choose from has increased and students have a wider choice to shape their career.
But the reservations and management seats is a matter of concern as many deserving candidates cannot seek admission to a school/college of their choice. There are discrepancies in the results of board/university exams which can change the future of the candidate.
Govt. should also play a big role in such cases. In budget 2008-09, three new IIT’s have bben proposed. Givt. Grants huge funding towards highly reputed institutes such as IIMs and IITs, but what about primary education? Govt. schools are not maintained well, students of it do not get up-to-the-mark teaching andbasic facilities like water. Many mid-day meal schemes are announced but it entails much loopholes. There should some steps be also taken in this direction.
