Hi friends,   Everyone has their own say agreed hockey is our national game and should remain but lets forget for a moment we are an Indian and remove the chauvinism and think that is it right to have it as our national game. ?A big no from my side which national game are we speaking of.. How many people even know the name of the players, what importance does the game have today for the people of our country, how many people tune in their channel when a hockey match is telecasted or beamed in the idiot box. What reputation does the player have? For making a game a national game we need to think from a logical point of view. It was a game of glory in the past but not today and we must admit the fact and what improvement are we speaking of. This debate has been haunting since many years to provide proper sport facilities. How many hockey players endorse any brands, I am not citing any cricket e.g. as I don need to, we all know what wave this game creates across our country. Lets accept the fact that we need to change with time and it’s high time we realize this and consider hockey no longer our national game
