Hair style guide - Guide to ponytail

Saturday, May 30th, 2009

When your hair won’t behave the way you want and you are in hurry the best way to groom your hair is a ponytail. You can tie your hair in full or half ponytail. Ponytail can be done high, low, in middle or at side. You can make more than one ponytail for the funky look.
Always use snag-free bands in your hair. Rubber bands can cause damage to your hair it causes friction, pulling and breaking of hair.

•Just pull your hair back loosely and tie with a band and let a few random strands fall around your face that will give a messy but trendy look.
•For a more sophisticated look make your hair straight by using a blow dryer. Brush your hair back smoothing out all tangles and tie it into a pony tail with a band. You can use a holding spray to finish it up.
•If you have long fringes in front and want to tie them up in ponytail.  Pull all your fringes back hold it into a loose quaff pin them up with bobby pins. Then tie the rest of your hair into a high ponytail.
•To make a bouncy ponytail, tie all your hair in a ponytail. Use few curlers, rollers or curly irons and create bouncing curls. Your ponytail will be full of flirty bouncy curls.
•Half tied ponytail also gives a sweet look. Hold half of your hair from the crown area and tie it up with a band. It can also be done after curling your hair.
•You wish to have a real innocent school girl look then go for two pony tails. Make two equal sections of your hair holdthe two parts and tie them up separately to make two ponytails. You can tie them high or low.
•For a funky look simply tie your hair up in knots. Twist your hair or knot them up hold it and put up few pins. Let the few loose strands fall down around your face.
•Another funky look variation in ponytail is to use some spray or paste at the ends of your hair. Twist your hair and hold your hair to one side high, low or in between and then clip them up.
•At the top of your ponytail you can add up a texture or a color with your own hair. Tie a ponytail take one thin section of your hair wrap it around your ponytail and pin it up.

Hair Style Guide - Blow drying

Saturday, May 30th, 2009

Hair is the most important part of your personality. Styling your hair gives you a complete new look.
Here we are guiding you with the ways of styling your hair. You have planned a party and want to look chic then you can open your hair by blow drying them.

Blow drying is very simple to do all you need is a proper dryer and a hair brush. Blow drying can give you a look which you actually want it can give your hair straight as well as curly look. It leaves your hair look beautiful for hours.

Blow drying is done in steps:

• Start with hair wash. Wash your hair with a volumising shampoo which will give extra volume to your hair.
•To remove any tangles from your hair use a wide toothed comb.
•Blow dry your hair partially that will remove excess moisture from your hair.
•You can spray a tonic or can spread mousse from tips to the end of your hair that will add up volume to your hair.
• Make small sections of your hair, pin them up.
• Hold dryer in one hand and styling brush in another.
• Blow-dry using a large, round brush with a metal core.
• Place the brush underneath the first section of hair and position it at the roots and move the brush along with the air flow of dryer down the hair.
•For a slight bend at the ends curl the brush under the ends and continue until the back sections are completely dry and then repeat it on the top sections of your hair.
•For a long lasting beautiful look finish with a light, flexible hairspray.

Blow drying can be done by anybody but it should be done according to the quality of hair and the style you want.

For Smooth Finish: For a great finishing look all you need is a large paddle brush that helps you to get a smooth and silky look. Brush your hair down till the ends along with airflow of your blow dryer which aims down in the direction of the ends.
This will help your hair cuticles to become smooth and make your hair shine and that will give you exotic look.

For Double Crown: If you have a double crown then blow drying your hair flat would not help you out rather that would make it more precise. To cover up your crowns you should firstly dry your hair in the opposite direction to what you want, and then dry it back the other way.

Section your hair use clips to tie up the top layers and start with the underneath sections. Dry each section completely then move on to the next. This will make your hair stand up and that will give a great look. You can save your time by drying most of the moisture out of your hair by shaking it dry with your hand and hair-dryer.

For one who has a Cowlick: A tuft of your hair grows in a different direction from the rest of the hair and usually does not lie flat. You should choose a hair cut that incorporates the cowlick into the style. You should use a round or a vent brush. You can even blow dry your fringe hair forwards to weigh it down and have a great new look.

Mens health - Body Mass Index

Friday, May 29th, 2009
by Sue

Body Mass Index (BMI) is a measure of body fat based on height and weight that applies to both men and women. Now a days girls go crazy for guys with six pack abs and guys really work out to get those six packs.

Generally guys are regularly visiting gym to work out and maintain there fitness and of course those abs. Some Muscle Guys wants to rope in greater gains at home and at gym.

Here we are trying to give answers to few questions that are generally asked.

If you are working out in gym and u don’t know when to add on more weight. We will suggest you to that first you make sure you can perform all your repetitions with your current weight for two consecutive workouts. Then add more weight gradually. If you are working on with say, 80 kilos—10 reps, then ensure that you perform 10 reps with 80 kilos during your next workout before you add on more weight. You can add 5 per cent more weight for each new step.

A good posture means good health and confidence. To gain that you need to work out regularly. In case you don’t get enough time then you should at least do some necessary exercises. One essential is the squat-and-press exercise. In this particular exercise you tend to work your upper and lower body in one motion entirely and this is the best way to get rid of your excess body fats.
Another big hitter for you is the Swiss ball pushup. It seems to be a classic exercise which helps to add some much needed core action to chest and builds up your shoulders.
Finally the last but not the least is to have the inverted row in your arsenal. It helps you to get correct and perfect posture as it strengthens the muscles that pull your shoulder blades back into their proper position.
The muscles on the sides of your legs serve as shock absorbers for your knees and your lower back. There are thigh machines available in gym but if you don’t want to use that then you can try lateral tube walks or side squats on a split board.
Stand on the board and sit back on your hips as you slide your left foot to the side until your leg is straight then slide to a standing position. This is counted as one repetition repeat this exercise at least 6 to 10 times with each leg. Do this exercise regularly as your leg muscles are critical for raising your game and reducing any possible injury risk.
The best and solid indoor activity to build up your body is jumping rope. Initially you can start with 50 jumps then you can go on adding 25 jumps in each set. No need to worry about tracking time you can rest for 30 seconds and then continue the pyramid by adding 25 jumps more.
When you hit 200, reverse the process by decreasing 25 jumps in each set. If you step on the rope don’t stop just pick up from where you left off.
Jumping rope builds muscular endurance, burns calories and improves your stamina, agility, coordination and balance. All of these will help you hit the weights harder.

Social Media Marketing to Boost Your Business

Thursday, May 14th, 2009
by Ann

With everyone around elucidating it, Social Media Marketing seems to have emerged as the latest ‘catchphrase’. For instance, almost all marketing professionals of the day talk about the success of Barak Obama’s social media approach with admiration. This phenomenon has even left the business owners mesmerized and they now want to know how they can exploit the concept of social media marketing to achieve greater results.

In fact, the issue has gained such prominence among the business owners that they keep asking if marketing on the social media websites would enable them to establish new enterprises. If I am to give my personal opinion on this, the answer is a definite ‘Yes’.

Now, let me justify my belief. I am of the view that a marketing policy alone does not yield any Return on Investment (ROI). In fact, one would hardly find any genuine data supporting the fact that a Chevrolet, or for that matter any other car, advertisement at a NBA match have led to sufficient sales to dub the commercial useful. Nevertheless, several auto firms such as the Audi, Budweiser, Chevrolet and others spent several thousand dollars to exhibit their brands before millions of NBA spectators despite the global economic slump! The most pertinent question here is why these companies should spend their ‘marketing’ dollars in NBA commercials if it did not yield any ROI.
